Elementary school Slavco Stojmenski – Vinica

The Boccia Discovery event held at Slavco Stojmenski Vinica School was a dynamic and engaging initiative aimed at introducing over 30 school kids to the exciting world of Boccia. Through interactive activities, friendly matches, and engaging demonstrations, the event provided a hands-on experience for students to learn about the game’s rules, history, and significance in promoting inclusivity and teamwork.

 

Elementary school Vasil Glavinov – Veles

The activity began with engaging workshops that delved into the history, rules, and mechanics of Boccia. Paralympic athletes and experts were invited to share their experiences and insights, providing a personal touch to the event. Students and teachers learned about the different classifications of athletes in the sport and the importance of creating an inclusive space for individuals with disabilities. Interactive Demonstrations: Participants had the opportunity to watch live demonstrations of Boccia matches, both from professional athletes and among fellow students. The interactive nature of the demonstrations allowed students to grasp the intricacies of the game, such as the use of assistive devices and the strategic aspects involved. These demonstrations also showcased the competitive and engaging nature of the sport. Hands-On Experience: To truly understand the game, students and teachers were divided into teams and provided with Boccia equipment. Facilitators guided participants through friendly matches, helping them apply the rules they had learned and fostering a sense of camaraderie. This hands-on experience deepened their connection with the sport and its principles.
